ECHOES - the European Community Health Worker Online Survey

Invitation to Community Health Workers who provide sexual health and support services for MSM (men who have sex with men) in the EU and neighbouring countries.

The ECHOES survey asks about the knowledge, attitudes and practices, as well as training needs of Community Health Workers (CHWs) who provide counselling, testing, psychosocial care and sexual health support around HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections to gay, bisexual and other MSM in the EU and neighbouring countries.

The Federal Public Service (FPS) Health, Safety of the Food Chain and Environment in Belgium has published the ‘Guide for Intercultural Mediation in Health Care’, a guideline for good practices in intercultural mediation.
Training on Migration Health for Cultural Mediators held on 5-7 December 2016 in Athens, Greece

Upon request by Médecins sans Frontiers Greece and following the previously organized trainings for cultural mediators in Ljubljana and Rome in September 2016, IOM MHD RO Brussels held a 3-days training course on Migration Health for Cultural Mediators on 5-7 December 2016 in Athens, Greece.

The training had the objective to impart cultural mediators working with migrants with the necessary knowledge needed concerning migrant-related health care and cultural mediation. The sessions aimed at exploring the role and importance of a cultural mediator in facilitating the communication and understanding between diverse individuals and communities in Greece.
